Last Sunday, September 8, Misericordia Heart of Mercy held its annual Family Fest to benefit their community of care in Chicago. Misericordia maximizes potential for people with developmental disabilities, but they cannot complete their work without donations.
Every year since 2016, Beam Legal Team has donated to Misericordia. This year was no exception, and one of our partners, Matt Patterson, also volunteered to help set up the event, before enjoying the fest with his wife, Alex, and their son.
Matt and his wife Alex recognize their good fortune in having a healthy family, which is why they prioritize giving back to others who are less fortunate. Our team also focuses on birth injuries because we are dedicated to helping families who have been affected by disabilities like cerebral palsy receive life-changing compensation.
Raising a disabled child is not an easy task, but it is manageable when the family has the correct financial resources. Misericordia is one such resource and provides alternative residential options for children and adults from diverse racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. Residents at Misericordia are actively involved in the Chicago community and receive unique opportunities to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Having residential care options not only helps those with disabilities, but their loved ones as well. When it comes down to it, even having the right set of specialty silverware can make all the difference in your disabled child’s life.
There are many ways our attorneys at Beam Legal Team can help disabled children have full and fulfilling lives. Schedule a free consultation or give us a call at (866) 404-5221 to learn more.
