Originally born in Incheon, South Korea, Katie spent the rest of her childhood in Southern California before moving up north to the beautiful Pacific Northwest for her undergraduate degree at University of Puget Sound, where she majored in Politics and Government and minored in English. She made the big move to Chicago in 2022 after purchasing her first real winter jacket.

Whenever she gets the chance, Katie enjoys working out and traveling. Whether that be to visit her brother in New York, spend time with family in Korea, or even backpack the rest of Europe.
